Dr. Weineng Xu is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from University of Arkansas. He also holds an M.A. Applied Economics from University of Cincinnati and a B.A. Economics from East China Normal University.

 

Professor Xu's research interests are corporate finance, social networks in finance, corporate governance, and experimental finance. His research has been presented at national conferences such as FMA, EFA, MFA, and SWFA. He has published on Journal of Behaviral Finance and Journal of Economic Education.

 

Professor Xu teaches Business Finance (FNBSLW344), Essentials of Financial Planning (FNBSLW401), and Corporate Financial management Decisions (FNBSLW444), and Investment Operations and Securities Regulation (FNBSLW387) at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Before joining UW-Whitewater, he was an Instructor of Finance at the University of Arkansas, teaching Principles of Finance, Corporate Finance, and Data Analysis and Interpretation.

Professor Xu was born and raised in Shanghai, a magnificent and vibrant city in Eastern China.
